Welcome Here: Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces

The Welcome Here Project supports businesses/organisations throughout Australia to create and promote environments that are visibly welcoming and inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer (LGBTQ+) communities.

Members of the project (registered Welcoming Places) receive a sticker to display in their window to let everyone know that LGBTQ+ diversity is welcomed and celebrated within their business. Registered Welcoming Places also display a charter that brings to life their commitment to the project, and what being a member is all about.

Apply to become a member, nominate a business you know to become a member, and look out for Welcome Here stickers all over Australia! 

Like Pride in Health+Wellbeing, Welcome Here is an initiative of ACON, dedicated to fostering inclusion and safety for LGBTQ+ individuals. While it operates independently from Pride in Health+Wellbeing, organisations are wholeheartedly encouraged to register. By joining Welcome Here, your organisation can further showcase its commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive environments.
